Editing Services

Selling your first novel is extremely difficult these days. Editors and agents are no longer looking for work that needs work—they want material that is basically ready to go out the door, which makes it even tougher for the first time writer, or even a seasoned one.

This is where having someone take an objective look at your work can really make the difference. Writers don’t need someone to tell them their work is perfect—there is no such thing. We need someone to tell us what needs to be done to get the work as close to perfect as it can get—before an agent tells us otherwise.Having been down this road many times, I am offering manuscript editing services. I love to read other people’s work and being a part of making it better.

Rates:
1-50 pages $2 per page
100 pages $1.50 per page
Over 100 pages $0.50 per page

These rates are for a general overview of the manuscript, which includes editing for continuity and general writing skill. For a line by line edit, all fees are double. This includes everything, right down to the i’s dotted and the t’s crossed.

I will edit nonfiction, but only for punctuation and general formatting. Not for content.
